A wide variety of options are available for integration and extensions. Integration is possible on the host side (PC-side)—for example, into your ERP/CRM system—as well as application extensions on your GPSauge (client-side). The GPSoverIP developer portal offers several paths to integration.
First, you can use the direct API for this purpose. Similarly, the HLD (High-Level Driver) is available for system integration via XML and CSV transfer.

GPSoverIP’s telematics solutions guarantee stability and flexibility. This means nothing stands in the way of installing your own applications directly on the telematics unit (GPSauge). To enable flexible integration, the GPSauge has been enhanced with additional developer plugins. Furthermore, the GPSauge-side HLD (High-Level Driver) supports developers with numerous simple integration functions, just like the HLD on the PC side.
HLD example from the GPSauge: By saving a document named “mail.to” in the HLD’s OUT directory—which contains the recipient’s email address, the subject line, and a message—the HLD automatically generates and sends your desired email.
The functionalities enabled by the HLD can be viewed in the GPSoverIP telematics interfaces.
The GPSoverIP/DATAoverIP/CANoverIP telematics protocols are offered as an open developer platform. Thanks to the thoroughly documented and validated interfaces, it’s a breeze to integrate generated data into your own applications or to develop your own software solutions—so-called OverIP apps. This makes it very easy to implement any individual customer request in no time at all.
