Technical Details

The DATAoverIP/CANoverIP protocols—as well as GPSoverIP (see the developer portal for explanations of DATAoverIP and GPSoverIP)—run on the GPSauge telematics hardware. With the addition of the HLD, data exchange (for these telematics protocols) becomes a breeze. With the HLD, the data to be transmitted simply needs to be saved in the correct directory. The format of the data does not matter here. For example, if you want to transmit data to a GPSauge (telematics hardware), you simply need to place it in the “Out” directory of the respective GPSauge. The HLD delivers this data to the DATAoverIP protocol, which ensures stable and secure over-the-air transmission. In addition, the HLD automatically encrypts and compresses your sensitive data—resulting in fast and secure data transmission.

The combination of the DATAoverIP/CANoverIP/GPSoverIP telematics protocols with the HLD enables you to securely and quickly transmit and retrieve any type of data (whether CAN bus, videos, RFID, barcodes, images, documents, etc.).

DATAoverIP with HLD
