The new GPSauge MI6 PRO (Universal Solution) is the world’s smallest telematics unit with the widest range of features. It is manufactured in Germany in accordance with industrial and automotive standards. In addition to location tracking accurate to the second, it supports and handles inductive telemetry data acquisition—whether from a CAN bus, FMS bus, ISO bus, MVB, J1708, OBD, VDV300, etc. No additional accessories are required! Connection is completed in just a few seconds using the new universal connector, which combines serial and analog signals, as well as the connection to the digital speedometer (including remote download), into a single interface.
The GPSauge MI6 PRO transmits data from the digital tachograph—if available—in real time and archives it in compliance with legal requirements using over-the-air authentication. The BLE-LR module detects surrounding infrastructure such as containers, trailers, loading docks, and their additional parameters (temperature, fill levels, condition, etc.). If desired, the GPSauge MI6 transmits the recorded data both to the central office and directly (via Bluetooth) to third-party devices. Additional serial/digital/analog interfaces allow values—such as those from attachments—to be captured and transmitted. The integrated gyroscope sensor expands the telemetry capabilities even further.
The GPSauge MI6 PRO operates on the basis of the patented GPSoverIP protocol and ensures secure, precise, and fast data transmission—even in areas with low bandwidth. In addition to the accompanying GPS-Explorer (a browser-based web portal), which is included with the device, the open interfaces enable integration into any GIS or ERP application.

GPSoverIP is the patented technology specifically developed for the transmission of telematics data (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPSoverIP). The packet sizes to be transmitted are only about one-tenth those of conventional methods—while offering greater stability, higher density, and enhanced security.
Data Transmission Every Second
Since data transmission with GPSoverIP occurs every second, this is referred to as true live positioning or live tracking. This allows GPSoverIP to be used in motorsports, among other applications, as this field in particular relies on fast transmission without data loss.
In addition to the GPS position, the GPSoverIP method also transmits all types of telemetry data, which provides information on, among other things, operational status, door movement, or fuel level.
Compatibility Thanks to an Open Interface
Live visualization and access to historical data can be achieved in any software that interfaces with GPSoverIP’s open API. The API documentation, including validated interfaces, is available to all developers. This makes it incredibly easy to integrate the data generated by GPSoverIP into existing software solutions, such as inventory management programs.

In addition, the GPSauge OBD offers detailed API documentation that allows you to connect your own smart application—if desired—to the telematics hardware for the exchange of any type of data (vehicle telemetry data, order status, digital tachograph data, etc.).
Quick and Easy Installation / Commissioning
Installing the GPSaugen is incredibly simple, as the connections can be made in just a few minutes using automotive-certified connectors. This makes it possible to fully equip even a large fleet in a short amount of time.
For integration, you’ll receive a custom installation kit that can be used for any vehicle. It doesn’t matter whether the additional telemetry connection—if required—is made via a CAN bus (inductive), FMS bus, ISO bus, K-Line, MVB, J1708, OBD/OBD II, VDV300, etc. Depending on your requirements, you simply need to connect the power supply and the appropriate telemetry cable (e.g., CAN plug/OBD plug). The unit can be connected to either a 12-volt or a 24-volt on-board voltage without an external voltage converter.
If desired, the telematics unit (GPSauge) is preconfigured and activated upon delivery, making it ready for use immediately after installation. Written documentation and video tutorials are available to assist with installation.
